Planche Pushup

Description:

Widely regarded as one of the hardest forms of pushup, Planche Pushup is an exercise that requires superior balance and upper body strength.  As the name suggests, this exercise combines the elements of a planche with pushups.  For best results, ensure that you have gotten comfortable enough in the planche position and are able to hold it comfortably for several seconds.

 

Process:

  • begin in a straddle planche position
  • ensure that the body forms a straight line and there is no bending at the hips
  • widen legs as much as possible to find balance
  • when settled into position, bend elbows to lower body
  • after bending elbows at least 90 degrees, or until body is down to desired position, extend elbows to return to original planche position
