Strict Muscle Up on Rings in L-Position

Description:

A Strict Muscle Up on Rings in L-Position is an advanced multi-functional exercise that engages the upper body as well as the core muscle system.  The fundamentals for this exercise is virtually the same as a standard strict muscle up.  The only difference is that the L-position must be maintained throughout the entire movement.  For best results, ensure that you have solidified the L-position.  Scale by performing strict muscle ups.

 

Process:

  • begin on the rings in a long-hang position (use false grip)
  • bend at the hips and raise legs 90 degrees to get into an L-position
  • perform a muscle up while maintaining L-position
  • finish in a supported L-position with rings parallel or turned out
